For their debut exhibition, the Sreda V Sredo collective (SVS) are featuring a zine providing insight into their spontaneous and relaxed activities. Their productions are made when, in their own words, the brakes are off and the heads are detoxed. In the zine Anal A, Matko, Uri and Fajzula draw on material from good and less good film hits, such as Braveheart, Anaconda and Home Alone 3. Through their zine, we can see how the SVS collective understand and interpret their beloved film characters and scenes.
The unusual, almost hard to describe SVS collective includes four members: Žiga Artnak, Urban Cerjak, Matic Flajs and Aljaž Košir – Fejzo. The members meet each Wednesday and make art together, primarily prints in with deep printing techniques, which they understand not only as an intriguing art practice, but also as a strong symbolic middle finger to the hyper-produced and uninteresting art they say they are too often surrounded by in the cultural space.
