As the echoes of success from New Faces 2023 continue to resonate, the regional music scene is once again abuzz with anticipation as the New Faces initiative launches its Open Call for 2024. This year’s mission is to discover and support ten of the most promising young music professionals (up to 30 years old) from former Yugoslavia region, empowering them to transform their musical dreams into reality with the guidance of seasoned industry professionals.

In collaboration with leading regional festivals and conferences, including MENT Ljubljana (Slovenia), Kontakt (Serbia), SHIP (Croatia), and PIN Music Conference (North Macedonia), New Faces 2024 aims to bridge the gap between ambition and achievement. Nominations are now open until December 11^th, 2023, inviting the public to shine a spotlight on young talents (up to 30 years old) actively contributing to the local and/or regional music scene. “It is crucial to acknowledge that the music industry extends beyond the artists on stage; it includes dedicated professionals working behind the scenes, such as event promoters, journalists, publishers, managers, and other indispensable contributors. With an initiative like New Faces, we, as festival partners, are providing young talents with the chance to enhance their skills. This not only elevates the importance of our mission but also contributes to the broader significance of our work.”

WHO ARE THE NEW FACES?
The New Faces represent the driving force behind the regional music industry, excel in diverse fields such as event organization, booking, management, publishing, music journalism, production, and more. These ambitious young professionals are defined by their work ethic, passion, and unwavering commitment to improvement.

LOOKING FOR MUSIC PROFESSIONALS!
It is essential to note that the Open Call is not aimed at musicians, but rather at the professionals who work tirelessly behind the scenes to shape the industry’s landscape.

ANYONE CAN NOMINATE!
During the initial phase, which concludes on December 11, 2023 at midnight, the public is encouraged to submit applications and proposals. Individuals can nominate themselves and third parties by completing the application form available HERE. Nominees must be 30 years old or younger in 2024.

WHAT’S IN IT FOR THE NEW FACES?
The chosen ten will receive a coveted PRO pass, granting access to all festival concerts, conference sessions, and the online delegate database at a minimum of four partner conferences across the Balkans. Additionally, New Faces 2024 will cover accommodation expenses in the host country and provide valuable media exposure to elevate their profiles within the industry.
