Open Call for Music Poster Exhibition appointMENT 9.0

We are happy to announce that this year, for the first time, we are opening a call for participation in the group exhibition of music posters appointMENT 9.0 at the DobraVaga Gallery.
We invite all interested artists to send their contributions by 20 November 2024. The exhibition will open on 11 February 2025. You are kindly invited to participate!
About the appointMENT 9.0 exhibition
The project was launched in 2016 with the aim of reviving and exploring the very form of the music-art poster and expanding the visual programme of the MENT festival. Each year, selected artists are assigned one of the musical performers of the festival, with their music serving as the main source of inspiration for the creation of the poster. The exhibition will showcase the unique collection of limited-edition music and art posters.
Each edition of the festival also focuses on a specific art poster printing technique. For this 9th edition, we are returning to risograph printing.
The call is open to young visual artists up to the age of 40 from Slovenia and the international creative community. Artists create a digital version of the poster, and we handle the printing at the DobraVaga gallery. As compensation, participants receive a festival ticket for MENT, covering the entire festival programme. The appointMENT project is non-profit.
Application:
Submission deadline: 20 November 2024, at midnight.
The application should contain:
- Art portfolio/a document with a collection of works demonstrating your current artistic practice/a link to a website or social network profile showcasing your work
- Submit in .pdf format with the title: name_surname_dela_appointMENT.
- Link to a website or social network profile featuring your collected works, with the link clearly defined.
- Short CV
- Include your full name and contact information (email and phone number), education, a list of exhibitions, and other projects you have participated in.
- Submit in .pdf format with the title: name_surname_CV_appointMENT.
